Cheerleading

Welcome to the Forest Hills Athletic Club Cheerleading!

Welcome to the Forest Hills Athletic Club Cheerleading page! Our squads are age based with six squads from grades K/1 (combined) through 6th grade. Our goal is to promote a fun environment where our cheerleaders can learn to be a part of a team, have fun and meet new friends, while learning basic cheerleading skills. We offer a very consistent practice and game schedule. Our practices are an hour to an hour and a half on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s for the entire season. The games are always on Saturday, at the same time. Our practices and home games are at Riverside Park, in Newtown.

The uniforms are paid for by each family.  Additional items like warmups and spirit wear are also available for purchase.  Each year, we offer a cookie dough/baked goods fundraiser around May. This fundraiser is optional and its’ sole purpose is to offer each family the opportunity to reduce their cost for cheerleading.

One of the benefits to cheering for Forest Hills is that we participate in at least one cheer competition each season, as well has a cheer expo.  This gives the girls an opportunity to see other squads.  It’s a lot of fun and they get to show off their hard work.

Our organization is run completely by volunteers.  We can always use extra help.  If you would like to help please let us know.  Between volunteering at games, we need team moms and assistant coaches.  This helps the coaches focus on coaching.

If you have any specific cheerleading questions, please email cheerforesthills@gmail.com or contact your head coach.
